How to do stuff with a little more detail than the FAQ

Here you can find out in more detail how to do common things.

Basically these are things that the Administrator puts in with generally some screen shots and more detailed stuff about things that may or not even be in the regular FAQ's.

Q. How do I enter an image into my post?

There is a button just below the subject line when posting.

Click on the cutie.

Then on the upcoming page click the 'Browse' button to select the image from your hard drive.

NOTE: We would ask that if your image is a large one, you choose the size 320 x 240 or smaller to keep the speed of loading to a respectable amount. Otherwise just leave the selection at "Do not resize"

Once you have done that click the 'upload' button. (on that page, not this one.)

Almost done.

You will then get a screen where you will see 2 sets of categories each with 4 choices. One says "Links to Thumbnails" the other "Links to original image". Which code to pick to upload an image.

NOTE: there are 4 selections per "Links to Thumbnails" or "Links to original image",

Make sure you copy one or the other 2nd set of code as marked in the screenshot

Choosing the top box of selections will give you code for a thumbnail image on your post that will be clickable to the larger image.

Choosing thesecond box of selection selection will give you code which will show your full size image in the post, therefore clicking to see a larger image will be unnecessary.

Then one last thing.

Copy the code to paste it into your post.

You can easily select (block is the term) the code by simply placing your cursor in that box and the 'stuff' inside the box should highlight. (if not click ctrl-a). Ctrl-c to copy the code after highlighting. Go back to your post and ctrl-v to paste the code in your message body area where you would like it. Thats all!.
